Retrofitting Controllers

Based on the condition of the existing HVAC units, the systems were able to be reused. Therefore, our process included moving from pneumatic controllers to DDC controllers and retrofitting the existing HVAC systems.

This created cost-savings and reduced project costs.

Energy Efficiency Strategy

In order to ensure the greatest level of energy efficiency within the 123,000 sq. ft building, the Jarrell team worked with building management to implement time of day scheduling with optimized start and stop times to allow for energy savings during unoccupied hours. Additionally, the following tasks were also completed as part of the project:

  • Reset the AHU discharge air temperature
  • Reset the AHU duct static pressure
  • Optimized the airside enthalpy economizer
