- Design and develop Refrigeration systems for grocery, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Prepare refrigeration drawings, equipment selections, and system layouts based on project requirements and applicable codes.
- Collaborate with engineering supervisor, project managers, CAD/BIM teams, and field staff to ensure coordinated and constructible designs.
- Prepare load calculations, energy code compliance, and system sizing.
- Support preconstruction efforts including budgeting, system selection, and value engineering.
- Participate in field walks, construction support, and final system review.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Refrigeration design experience in the commercial construction industry is a plus.
- Familiar with industry standards and codes (IIAR, ASHRAE, IECC, IMC).
- Proficient in refrigeration load calculation concepts and software utilization.
- Strong communicator who enjoys working across disciplines and seeing designs come to life.
