Responsibilities
  • Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial and industrial buildings. 
  • Prepare mechanical drawings, equipment selections, and system layouts based on project requirements and applicable codes. 
  • Collaborate with project managers, CAD/BIM teams, and field staff to ensure coordinated and constructible designs. 
  • Prepare load calculations, energy code compliance, and system sizing. 
  • Support preconstruction efforts, including budgeting, system selection, and value engineering. 
  • Participate in field walks, construction support, and final system review. 
Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • HVAC design experience in the commercial construction industry is a plus. 
  • Familiar with industry standards and codes (ASHRAE, IECC, IMC). 
  • Proficient in load calculation software (e.g., Trane Trace and Carrier HAP). 
  • Strong communicator who enjoys working across disciplines and seeing designs come to life. 
  • Curious, collaborative, and committed to delivering practical solutions that perform.
