Project Overview: LEED Silver Rating anticipated. Design Build mechanical and plumbing project for 220,000 square foot facility. Mechanical Systems consist of hot water system wih high efficiency condensing boilers, chilled water system with high efficiency air cooled chillers, and indoor variable air volume air handling units. Plumbing system consists of approximately 270 plumbing fixtures distributed amongst two building facilities. The training center building is equipped with fifteen (15) tankless water heaters sized to meet the demand of 52 showers used during drill weekends. The maintenance facility is equipped with two (2) high efficiency storage type gas water heaters. Both Systems are centralized with re-circulation to maintain water temperature. PVC schedule 40 drain, waste and vent system with no-hub cast iron was installed in return air plenums. The domestic water system is copper type "L" with soldered joints and fittings. Isolation valves are provided on each group of fixtures to allow for maintenance or repair without total facility shutdown.
